I feel quiet.

I'm not sure why. Perhaps the change of season is sending me within. Maybe the fact that I have a busy few weeks ahead and a trip coming up. Could it be that I am dreading a long and exhausting 6 months ahead at work due to flu season? I just know that right now the thought of putting something coherent in this space is stressing me out. And that is not what this space is for. So I am going to move back for a short time. I am going to warm the house by cooking. I am going to try to persuade The Girl to read more chapter books. I am going to visit my favorite blogs for relaxation. I am going to read good books and drink tea with honey. I am going to walk The Freedom Trail and eat heaps of fish. And then I will be back. See you then.

Sounds like a good idea to me, Tara. I haven't posted much lately either. I have two book reviews to write and don't feel inspired. I'm more in the mood of baking and cooking warm, hearty meals. And organizing before the holidays. And curling up with my books and hot tea. The next 2 months are going to be absolutely crazy at work (I hope - let's pray the retail industry has a better Christmas this year!) and I really don't want to spend all my free time on the computer. So, I may take a bloggy break, too. Thanks for the inspiration. See you around the blogosphere.

Six months of colds and flu is daunting, I quite agree. It never used to worry me but it does now I'm older. I hope you enjoy your break from blogging.

Oh Tara, I know what you mean. Do take a break and relax with The Girl and all the things you enjoy. It's always nice to get a little breather from the blogosphere.

The way you describe it sounds so nice and cosy. Makes me think about doing the same. But then something pops into my head that I need to share...

Have a nice break - I know exactly what you mean by the need to take a blog rest. Enjoy all the things you feel like doing instead right now!

That sounds like a great idea Tara - I go through times like that with my blogging too and the passion always seems to come back eventually. Looking forward to hearing from you after your break.

I totally understand how you feel. The thought of a long winter sort of defeats me, too, and it is only October! Have a great break and enjoy yourself!

My writing's gone south lately...maybe it is the changing season.

I echo Thomas' words exactly. :<) I hope you have a nice time away. There should never, ever be pressure. The whole blogging thing should be fun.

Well, you know me Tara - always on the verge or taking a blogging break! Sometimes the energy and words just run out and it is good to take a break - to see if the enjoyment returns. I know if I do too much blogging other parts of my life just fall in a hole. I just took an enforced month long blogging break and I am back with renewed energy. I hope you will be energised too and miss out on some of the flu that will go around :-)

I took a 2-3 month blogging break too. Feeling the same as you. Enjoy your time without the "stress" of blogging. I look forward to your return when you are ready. Enjoy your break.
