GIVEAWAY - TESTIMONY BY ANITA SHREVE

I'm so excited to be partnering with Hachette Books again to give away THREE copies of Anita Shreve's latest novel, Testimony which is being released today.

I really enjoyed Testimony and would rate it among my favorite of Shreve's books.

The rules are simple. Just leave a comment on this post - if you have a favorite Anita Shreve book please tell me what it is - if not, please tell me your favorite author of 'women's literature'. There is one entry per person. You do not have to have a blog to enter, but please make sure I have a way to contact you via email if you've won. This giveaway is open to US and Canadian addresses only, sorry to those outside these areas. I will close the comments and draw the 3 winners on October 28. Good luck!

Hi,

I heard about this giveaway through LibraryThing. I'd have to say that my favorite Anita Shreve book is The Pilot's Wife--read it many years ago and still have it on my bookshelves. Thanks for the chance to enter!

I have not yet read anything by Anita Shreve, but this book has me very interested -- looks like a good place to plunge into her works. It's hard to pick just one favorite author, but I have really enjoyed all of Ann Hood's work over the years. I find both her fiction and non-fiction to be very moving. I recommend her all the time.
Thanks for the chance to win TESTIMONY.

After reading THE PILOT'S WIFE, I started reading all of Anita Shreve's books. It is a toss up between STRANGE FITS OF PASSION: A NOVEL, and FORTUNE'S ROCKS.
I can't wait to read TESTIMONY!!

Count me in.

I'm also here from Library Thing. Though I loved The Pilot's Wife, The Weight of Water was a more compelling read for me. I would love the chance to read and review Testimony!

I don't remember having read any Shreve book before. I have read this book's synopsis and it does intriguing. One of my favorite women's fiction author is Luanne Rice (along with Barbara Samuels, Joshilyn Jackson and others.)

I haven't tried Anita Shreve, but have always wanted to. I would say my favorite women's authors are either Elizabeth Berg or Jodi Picoult.

Great giveaway, the book looks like a lot of fun!

I've never read Anita Shreve and I'm always resistant to the category Women's Fiction (I mean, if it's good enough for me to want to read, it's good enough for anyone, right?) but I'd still like to win the book after reading your review. Is Barbara Kingsolver womens-fictiony enough? If so, I'll pick her as my favorite. If not, surely I can think of someone else!

I haven't read one of her books yet but I got Body Surfing to try out! Hmmm favorite author of women's literature... I think I'll say Jennifer Weiner since I have read all but one of her books!

I don't think of books as "women's fiction", just fiction but if I had to name one author.. I would go with Nicholas Sparks. I do have an Anita Shreve book in my TBR pile (Pilot's Wife) but have yet to read it.

Hi Tara ... thanks for the comment on my blog! I haven't read any Anita Shreve, but like others, this sounds like a good place to start. As for women literature/fiction authors, my favorites include Flannery O'Connor and Lorrie Moore.

I have never read anything by Shreve, but would love to find out how wonderful she is! As far as women's literature--Jane Austen comes to mind, although I don't know if she's technically a part of the genre. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have read some Anita Shreeve and really enjoyed it. My bookclub read both "A wedding in December", and "Light on Snow", but I'm excited about this new book, everyone says its great.
I am from Nevada, where everyone gambles (not really, but that's the stereotype) but I never win anything. (first I guess I must gamble to be able to win :~)
so, I am keeping my fingers crossed this time!! Let it be me.

e-mail (so you can contact me when I win!!)
