Happy 6th Birthday Baby Girl!

Apparently the dream dinner of a six year old, well my six year old anyway, consists of:

macaroni and cheese
hot dogs
a baguette with butter
raw baby carrots

All followed by a chocolate frosted doughnut. Ugh. Unfortunately I worked all weekend, so wasn't able to make a special meal (I did make the cake last week, after all). In any case, she was pleased with the meal she chose.

Book talk soon, I promise.

Happy birthday to your daughter, Tara. Her birthday meal sounds like something I would have picked too at that age. Minus the hot dog. :-)

Beautiful! My girl would eat hot dogs everyday for every meal if I'd let her.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes! I too would have probably picked the same meal at her age!

My younger son demanded macaroni cheese for every birthday, despite the fact we ate it about once a week anyway. The his taste matured to include tandoori chicken. Now it would be foie gras...

Actually, I wouldn't mind macaroni cheese on MY birthday, it's pretty good! Hope she had a lovely birthday.

Just think Tara our girls came into the world within 10 days of each other and we entered the weird but wonderful world of motherhood then too! And we're still here - and reading too ;-)

Best wishes to you both.

I bet more people would like that meal than would admit it. :<) Not I except for maybe the doughnut. I just had a talk this morning with my 25 year old and pasta is still her favorite, favorite food. Happy Birthday to your dear daughter.
