100th Post!!!

I pleased to note that today I am publishing my 100th post. As I only post 1-3 times per week this is a really big milestone for me. I never expected to be doing this- at all, in fact - and it's been a blessing in so many ways.

Since I'm feeling celebratory, I thought I would share some interesting things I've found browsing through catalogs recently.

Bookopoly is available from the Signals catalog. The description states you "collect bookstores and trade them for libraries....find out if you're elected president of the book club.." What fun! I think it would be great for a Book-blogger get-together.

Or what about the 'Too fond of books..' ornament, also available from Signals. Signals has other bookish items, and lots of other great gift ideas. I'm not sure how I got on their mailing list, but I'm pleased I did.

The Acorn catalog has loads of great gifts, particularly for the BBC lovers among us.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lillies,

The House of Elliott, or

The Duchess of Duke Street.

Everyone I know says that I am so difficult to buy for. I don't know why, I seem to have no trouble with it myself!

Congratulations!

As someone on the hallowed total of 115, or thereabouts, I welcome you to the made-it-to-100 club. Exciting, isn't it?

Congratulations on your 100th post. I agree with Heather...that Bookopoly looks fun and I just may have to acquire it.

I'm new to your blog, but I hope to visit more often. Let me know if I can help you with any new book purchases through my website.

Congratulations from me too, Tara! Here's to the next 100 posts which I shall certainly be reading.
(Bookopoly sounds great.)

Congrats, Tara! Do you have Netflix? I am quite sure all the movies are available there. Lillies in fact is in my queue. I saw Duchess of Duke Street when it was first on PBS and it is wonderful.

Congrats on your achievement!

I don't remember Lilies, but The Duchess of Duke Street and The House of Eliot certainly take me back a few years. Watched both of them avidly back in the er... 80s I think.

Congratulations, Tara! You know my 100th post came and went and I didn't mark it. I'm on 108 now. I'll have to mark 200 or something. Love the Bookopoly game and I especially love the ornament. I collect Christmas ornaments and I think I may have to have that one. Thanks for sharing!!

Simon, thank you and yes, it is exciting!

Heather, I think so too - thanks.

Karen, thanks so much - I'd love to play it -Bookopoly - with this group!

Nan, you know, I don't have Netflix, but your comment makes me think perhaps I should. Let me know how Lillies is.

Cath, thank you - I'd never heard of some of these series until I received this catalog.

Kay, thank you! I'm crazy about the ornament too, a little birdie might have to share that link with someone...

I had meant to make a big deal out of my last milestone in blogging (200) but then found I had absolutely particularly noteworthy to say! So I ended up, ignoring the whole event.

Congratulations to you, Tara. I look forward to your posting at 200.

Yeay, congratulations Tara and now here's to your next milestone!

Thank you for sharing Bookopoly, Acorn and Signals, I was unaware they existed. Now that Christmas is almost upon us I find these suggestions invaluable. Thanks again Tara!

Jill, thanks so much.

Lotus, thank you and I'm glad you've found my suggestions useful! I've found some fun gifts in those, particularly in the Signals catalog.

I'm a little late, too, but congrats on those 100 posts! I love the Signals and Acorn catalogs--I haven't gotten them in a while unfortunately. I loved the House of Elliotts--maybe your library has it? I definitely recommend it. I watched some of the episodes of The Duchess of Suke Street--also good. I'll have to check out Lillies--I am always looking for good movies to get from Netflix!

I know I'm terribly late but still wanted to say congrats on your milestone Tara. Your blog is a delight to read!
Also, thanks for the reminder of the Signals catalog. I love all the quirky stuff they have. I need to remember to use it for Christmas gifts.

Heather, thank you!

Danielle, I'm not sure why I started getting those catalogs but I'm glad I did. I just love catalog/online shopping rather than dragging myself all over town for unique gifts. I actually took Nan's advice and joined Netflix...and have already started watching House of Elliott! My library doesn't have it, or the other ones I mentioned. I do like it.

Bookgirl, thank you! That's exactly what I like about the Signals catalog - great gift ideas.

Oh, dear, you're going to get me in all sorts of trouble posting things like links to bookish stuff.

Congrats on your 100th post!
